Fractal Chair
The Fractal Chair, unique from most seating, was designed to accomodate various sitting positions. The design process started with hand sketches and quarter scale models. Progressing to digital 3d modeling in Rhino and half scale models. The end product was constructed by exploding the pieces of the digital model and arranging them to be cut out with a CNC router. Then each edge was sanded to a specific angle so they joined together perfectly. Ultimately, resulting in a full scale, upholstered prototype.
